Officials at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana confirmed that there was no active shooter following a lockdown on Thursday.
The base was locked down around 10:30 a.m. local time after reports of a possible shooter, and individuals were advised to evacuate the area. Details about the threat were not disclosed.
The lockdown was lifted approximately two hours later after security personnel completed a sweep of the area. According to a Facebook post from the base, a suspicious person was reported on the base as an active shooter, but no shots were confirmed, and no casualties or injuries were reported.
The base is home to ICBM missiles.
