WASHINGTON (AP) — The Army unveiled its spring deployment schedule today, detailing the following unit assignments:
The 10th Mountain Division Combat Aviation Brigade will deploy to U.S. Central Command, taking over responsibilities from the 82nd Airborne Division Combat Aviation Brigade in a standard force rotation.
The 1st Cavalry Division Headquarters is set to embark for Europe, where it will assume the role previously held by the 3rd Infantry Division Headquarters. This deployment is part of the routine rotation of forces aimed at bolstering the United States' dedication to NATO allies and partners.
Joining the 1st Cavalry Division, the 1st Cavalry Division Artillery is also slated for deployment to Europe, where it will relieve the 3rd Infantry Division Artillery as part of the standard rotation strategy in support of the United States' commitment to NATO allies and partners.
In furtherance of the United States' commitment to NATO allies and partners, the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, will be deployed to Europe to replace the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, as per the routine force rotation.
The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, is bound for Europe as well, taking the place of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, as part of the ongoing rotation to uphold the United States' commitment to NATO allies and partners.
Meanwhile, the 1st Cavalry Division Combat Aviation Brigade is scheduled to head to Europe, where it will relieve the 1st Infantry Division Combat Aviation Brigade, following the customary rotation of forces that reinforces the United States' dedication to NATO allies and partners.
Lastly, the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade will deploy to Europe, replacing the 3rd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade.
