The U.S. Navy reported that its aircraft carrier, USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), was involved in a collision with the merchant vessel M/V Besiktas-M near Port Said, Egypt, in the Mediterranean Sea at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to Cmdr. Tim Gorman, spokesperson for the U.S. 6th Fleet, the incident did not result in any injuries to the crew or flooding on the carrier.
