During a routine training mission on Thursday evening, a U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter crashed into the San Diego Bay near the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. The incident, which occurred around 6:40 pm local time, involved the helicopter going down in the waters close to Coronado, near San Diego.

Officials from the Naval Air Station North Island confirmed that all six crew members aboard the helicopter survived the crash without harm. The helicopter was conducting a training exercise off Southern California when the incident took place.

The Navy is currently investigating the cause of the crash, but no further details have been released at this time.
