Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 171st Aviation Regiment of the Minnesota Army National Guard are actively participating in the Hurricane Helene relief efforts in western North Carolina. Utilizing CH-47 Chinook helicopters, these soldiers have been crucial in delivering essential supplies like food and water to some of the areas most devastated by the storm. This effort is part of a larger mobilization that includes National Guard units from 18 different states, all working together to support the communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
