Boeing Defense to Open Engineering Facility in Florida

Featured in:

Boeing’s planting a flag in the Sunshine State with a shiny new engineering center in Daytona Beach. Partnering up with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the aerospace giant is aiming to cook up a storm of military aircraft and advanced tech projects.

And they’re not just bringing their fancy new toys, either. Boeing’s set to drop a cool 200 high-paying engineering jobs into the mix this year alone, with plans to double down in the future. That’s a pretty sweet deal for Volusia County.

Boeing’s DreamLearners Program will give local kids a glimpse into the wild world of aerospace careers, and the new 65,000-square-foot facility is shaping up to be a hotbed of innovation. With neighbors like the Cici and Hyatt Brown Center for Aerospace Technology.

Embry-Riddle’s Research Park is where industry heavyweights rub elbows with students and faculty, brewing up the next big thing in aviation, cybersecurity, and all things Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
